Who we are
hotcano.com is operated by Hotcano LLC, an Arizona limited liability company (“Hotcano,” “we,” “us”). Questions about this policy or your information: hello@hotcano.com.
Information we collect
This site has no user accounts and asks for nothing to browse. Two kinds of information reach us:
Information you choose to provide — what you send when you contact us, by email or through the project-inquiry form: your name, email address, organization (optional), the venture or topic your message concerns, a budget or timeline for commercial work (optional), and your message itself.
Technical information processed automatically — the hosting, security, and analytics systems described below process technical request data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested as part of operating and protecting the site.
How we use it
Information you send us may be used to evaluate and respond to your inquiry; to discuss or administer a possible or resulting business relationship; to maintain ordinary business records; to protect the site and the inquiry channel; and to comply with applicable legal obligations.
It is not added to any mailing list (there isn’t one), not used for unrelated marketing, and not used for profiling.
Technical information and abuse prevention
Our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical request data — such as your IP address and browser type — in server logs as part of operating the site.
To protect the inquiry channel from spam and abuse, requests to it are screened automatically: these controls evaluate submission metadata, timing, network address (IP), and a hidden honeypot field that ordinary visitors never notice. The application does not place inquiry contents in a separate database of its own; accepted inquiries are transmitted through the delivery path described under Service providers. Submissions rejected by these screens are not intentionally retained by Hotcano, though routine infrastructure security logs may exist at our providers.
Cookies and analytics
Ordinary browsing on this site sets no cookies, and our analytics is cookie-free.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. It processes information such as the pages you view, the referring page, approximate location (country or region), device type, operating system, and browser — in aggregate, without cookies, and without tracking you across other sites. It never receives anything you type into a form.
Service providers
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes request data to serve pages and provides the analytics described above.
Inquiry-form submissions are delivered to us by Resend, our email-delivery provider. To deliver your message, Resend processes its content, your email address (so we can reply directly to you), and ordinary email metadata. We do not use open or click tracking on these emails.
Email to hello@hotcano.com — including delivered inquiries — is handled by Google Workspace, our email provider.
Linked venture and third-party sites (for example StackValue or Hot Towing) operate separately from hotcano.com and may publish their own privacy notices — this policy covers hotcano.com only.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept as ordinary business correspondence — for as long as they’re relevant to the conversation or engagement they concern — and are not held on any fixed deletion schedule.
If you’d like something you sent deleted, ask (see below). We handle deletion requests subject to reasonable identity verification and to applicable legal, security, recordkeeping, backup, and provider-retention requirements — so deletion may not be complete or immediate across every provider or backup system.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information or disclose it to third parties for their own marketing or targeted advertising.
Limited disclosures do occur: to the service providers named above, as needed to run the site and deliver your messages; when required by law; or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
Your rights and choices
Email hello@hotcano.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We’ll respond as required by the law that applies to you, and where no specific law requires it we may still voluntarily honor reasonable requests.
Children
This site is a business site intended for adults and is not intended for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has sent us information, email hello@hotcano.com and we’ll take reasonable steps to delete it, subject to any necessary legal or security retention.
International visitors
Hotcano operates from the United States, and information sent to us is processed and stored in the United States by us and the providers named above. If you contact us from elsewhere, you’re sending your information to the US, where privacy law may differ from your country’s.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect what you send us — the site is served over HTTPS, and inquiry submissions are limited to the delivery path described above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t promise absolute security.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the current version will always live at this address, with its effective date shown above. Contact: hello@hotcano.com.
